They state it’s not for beginners or weekend warriors, it’s for athletes—this Havok Hardcore review will reveal whether or not it’s geared for the serious weightlifter.

We train to take our gains to astronomical heights—which is why we use pre-workouts. Right?

The thing is, many just don’t cut it for the immense power we need to perform those mammoth lifts. They hide their ineffective doses in proprietary blends or include unnecessary compounds—wasting space.

The best pre-workouts should be transparent, with science-backed formulas.

Havok Hardcore claims to be both, but will this “full disclosure” pre-workout regret revealing all? This havok pre workout review exposes the truth.

Havok Hardcore Review:

Hh bombsicle group 1024x1024

Let’s begin this Havok Hardcore review with a swift look at the company behind the product.

Rewind to 2012, this is the year that Jason Duran and Markus Trillsh founded American Metabolix—the makers of Havok Hardcore. These guys aren’t strangers to the supplement industry—both were involved in the set-up of supplement giant—Cellucor.

Their mission—to provide quality, purity and potency.

Havok Hardcore is their pre-workout. They’ve made it clear that it’s not aimed at the newbies or the part-timers—this product is targeted at the diehard crew. American Metabolix claims it:

  • Is designed for those who want to push their boundaries.
  • Enhances mental focus.
  • Offers intense, sustained energy—minus the jitters.
  • Improves performance and endurance.
  • Increases your capacity to exercise—building lean muscle.

How is this all possible?

I’ll explain everything in the next section of this Havok Hardcore review.

How Does Havok Hardcore Work?

Although this is meant to be a “full disclosure” supplement, they haven’t fully disclosed the inner workings of their product. Hence, I’ve examined the Havok pre workout nutrition facts and deduced the following:

  • Stimulants provide a substantial surge to energy levels.
  • NO production heightens—increasing blood flow and the mighty pump.
  • Amino acids stave off fatigue by lowering lactic acid levels.
  • Cognitive enhancers fine-tune your focus for the ultimate mind-muscle connection.

Havok Hardcore Ingredients

Bobmb3 large

Now we’re into the real muscle of this Havok Hardcore review—the ingredients. With thirteen compounds all quantified—it’s a good start. Let’s take a closer look at what’s inside the tub.

Havok® Hardcore Pump Technology

L-Citrulline Malate

The first contender in our list and it’s a star player as far as pre-workouts are concerned—the mighty l-citrulline malate.

Ingesting this amino acid elevates arginine—encouraging the production of the vasodilator, nitric oxide. This gas dilates your body’s circulatory system—allowing blood to flow faster. As a result, your muscles receive higher concentrations of nutrients. 1 2

Watching your muscles fill out and tighten up as the pump kicks in—has to be one of the most notable and gratifying plus points. However, the benefits are far greater—it has the capacity to:

  • Speed up recovery by reducing muscle soreness.3
  • Elevate endurance—the previous study illustrates that improvements in workout capacity can double as a result of supplementation.
  • Heightens strength and power.4
  • Promote protein synthesis—influencing muscle growth. 5

Beta-Alanine

You’re about to max on your best performance yet and then, wham—your muscles shout, “no chance, buddy!

You know what I’m saying, right?

Muscle fatigue is a training nemesis—and we’re continually looking for ways to defeat it. Lactic acid is the cause behind it—a lack of oxygen in the muscles leads to a decline in ph levels. 6

Beta-alanine promotes the production of carnosine—a compound that neutralizes muscle acidity—lowering the risk of fatigue. 7 8

Betaine Anhydrous

We’re onto the third ingredient in this Havok Hardcore review and I’m pleased to say its another impressive inclusion. Betaine anhydrous has the ability to take your training to the absolute limit.

Research has proven that it can:

  • Supercharge your body strength and power. 9
  • Accelerate fat loss and mass gains. 10
  • Diminish fatigue and enhance endurance levels. 11

Bottom line.

You’ll give Superman a run for his money.

Agmatine Sulfate

A derivative of l-arginine—agmatine sulfate is another compound that leads to vasodilatory advantages. 12

This addition means your nitric oxide levels will be even higher—promoting phenomenal pumps.

Taurine

I’m sure we’ve all heard the bull about taurine and its origins.

However, it does appear to work in synergy with a pre-workout staple—caffeine. It’s thought taurine can offset the adverse effects of this stimulant. 13

Furthermore, it may also indirectly complement the pump—it regulates electrolytes and fluid balance—preventing dehydrated muscles. 14

Barbell 7

Havok® Hardcore Energy & Focus Formula

N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine

When the pressure is on to put in an outstanding performance, the last thing you want is your mind bowing down.

L-tyrosine is an amino acid and a cognitive enhancer. It plays an active part in the creation of dopamine and adrenaline. These two chemical messengers are suppressed when your body is exposed to stress. 15

Supplementing with l-tyrosine is believed to raise levels of dopamine and adrenaline—which may improve cognitive performance and how your body deals with challenging scenarios. 16

In short.

Your mind will match your blistering results on the bench.

Caffeine

Thanks to our coffee-drinking culture, caffeine is the most frequently consumed legal stim on the planet—it’s also up there in terms of the pre-workout popularity stakes. 17

There is a good reason for this.

The effectiveness of caffeine as a performance enhancer has been studied extensively. Research has proven, it has the ability to:

  • Boost body strength. 18
  • Elevate energy levels—caffeine blocks sedative-like receptors that influence tiredness.19
  • Diminish the awareness of pain.20 21
  • Increase endurance performance—studies demonstrate that, on average, caffeine extended time to exhaustion by 24 percent.  22

Caffeine is also a driving force behind the mind-muscle connection—it can: 23

  • Enhance focus.
  • Influence mood—promoting determination and motivation.
  • Alleviate mental fatigue.
  • Promote alertness.
  • Speed up reactions.

Choline Bitartrate

The B-vitamin choline is a producer of the neurotransmitter—acetylcholine. This messenger is involved in three crucial areas for the dedicated athlete—muscle control, the central nervous system and mental focus. 24

Surprisingly, this nutrient could even assist in building mass.

Studies demonstrated an increase in growth hormone concentrations and body strength as a result of supplementation. 25 26

2-Amino-5-Methylhexane HCI

I’d like to raise some concerns in this Havok Hardcore review, regarding the inclusion of this ingredient.

You may or may not be aware, but this stimulant is known under many different names—one of which is 1,4-dimethylpentylamine. 27

It would appear that taking this compound will get you kicked out of competition—it’s currently on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of prohibited substances. 28

Methyliberine (as Dynamine®)

Naturally occurring in Kucha tea, methyliberine is a derivative of caffeine. It has a shorter half-life and doesn’t produce the jittery feelings we see in so many stims. Some say this compound could become the “new” caffeine. 29

Its main draws are an increase in energy, enhanced focus and determination. Yet, as this compound is considered a newbie—evidence is lacking and is mainly anecdotal.

DiCaffeine Malate (as Infinergy®)

Caffeine makes another appearance in this Havok Hardcore review of the ingredients—this time in malate form.

In “regular” form, this stimulant is renowned for its fast-acting abilities, yet with malate (also referred to as Infinergy®), it’s a gradual and prolonged affair. The theory is that you receive the same effects but without the “crash.”

It’s also suggested that malate can offset the digestive issues caffeine anhydrous can cause. 30

However, official research on this compound is still in its infancy.

Hordenine HCI

A compound found in bitter orange and barley, hordenine is believed to increase mental focus and boosts performance.

However, evidence to back this up is in short supply.31 32 33

Rauwolfia Vomitoria (Alpha Yohimbine)

In some parts of the world, this herb is used in traditional medicine for managing mental disorders. Rauwolfia—or alpha yohimbine—is also understood to possess fat-burning abilities. 34

Furthermore, it’s purported to stimulate the release of the “fight or flight” hormones—elevating energy levels. 35 36 37

Havok Hardcore Ingredients Breakdown

The best pre-workouts deliver a no-contest formula that pushes your performance into orbit. Yet, what constitutes the best pre workout? I’m about to reveal all in this Havok Hardcore review.

Now, to establish whether Havok Hardcore fits into this category, I’ve drawn up a checklist of the top compounds:

  • ✓Caffeine.
  • ✓Beta-alanine.
  • ✓Citrulline malate.
  • ✗L-norvaline.
  • ✓Betaine anhydrous.
  • ✗L-theanine.
  • ✗Acetyl-l-carnitine.
  • ✗Green tea leaf extract.
  • ✗Black pepper extract (Bioperine).

So, with roughly half of the compounds, it appears middle-of-the-road against the best pre workout. The bioavailability booster black pepper extract and the potent power pack acetyl-l-carnitine have been overlooked—which is disappointing.

However, it’s great to see that all ingredients are quantified.

In terms of dosage—the 250 mg of caffeine is bang on, as is l-citrulline malate—you should get some decent pumps with this pre-workout. Although, beta-alanine is a touch under at 3.2 grams and for the best results with betaine, I would like to see around 2.5 grams.

Furthermore, given the number of stimulants—this Havok stim pre workout should also function well for energy and focus.

Nevertheless, if you’re into competition, you may wish to think twice—with 2-Amino-5-Methylhexane HCI on the list, it could land you in hot water with WADA.

Havok Hardcore Side Effects

If you like what you see so far in this havok hardcore review, you’re probably curious to know whether there are any havok pre workout side effects.

Caffeine can lead to: 38

  • Anxiety.
  • Fidgeting.
  • Headaches.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Increased urination.
  • Feeling jittery.
  • Insomnia.

Beta-alanine is known for a tingly feeling called paresthesia. It’s harmless and temporary. 39

Rauwolfia vomitoria has reported causing: 40

  • Low libido.
  • Dizziness.
  • Digestive upset.
  • Increased appetite.

Havok Hardcore Before After Results

I’m assuming if you’re reading this Havok Hardcore review, you want your performance to go stratospheric. But what results have the actual users experienced? Were they able to wreak Havok in the gym?

“If you ever wonder what it’s like to feel like a superhero, energized to the max, then try Havok. Drop bombs on your workout limits and fly past the restraints your body has put on energy levels.

Tim.

“Seriously y’all I was OBSESSED with C4 for the past two years, but they recently changed their formula. Meanwhile, this little beaut walked into my life almost simultaneously. My workouts last longer and the pump is soooooo real. I also like the taste—unique and not super fruity or tart.”

V.

“Really like it. Doesn’t give a jittery feel.

Where to Buy Havok Hardcore?

There are a few places you can get hold of Havok Hardcore—the official American Metabolix site and Suppz.com.

Surprisingly, you won’t find anything listed under either Havok pre workout GNC or Havok pre workout Amazon. Currently, these two supplement giants don’t have any availability.

Havok Hardcore Review Conclusion:

Not approved

Let’s recap.

This formula contains 13 compounds, yet it only includes four of the best pre workout ingredients. Furthermore, with stimulants making up around half of the ingredients label—I can see why many refer to this as the Havok stim pre workout.

But it’s not all bad.

There is no doubt this pre-workout has done a decent job of covering all areas. It should provide you with plenty of pumps, a solid surge of energy, a fierce amount of focus and elevated endurance levels.

However, that inclusion of a banned substance is holding me back from saying this is the best pre-workout.

My final words.

Havok Hardcore may well wreak havoc in the gym, but it may also do the same for your competition results.
